Fuerteventura Airport is located near to Puerto del Rosario, the capital city located on the Spanish island of Fuerteventura. The airport is a major hub for the Canary Islands and the main route by which travellers reach the island of Fuerteventura. The airport deals with flights all around Europe including many links with UK cities and other islands in the area. Fuerteventura Airport is currently the 10th busiest airport in the whole of Spain and handles over four million passengers each year. The airport is easily accessible via a number of routes and methods of transport and it is conveniently situated in terms of local places of interest. Various resorts and towns are easily reached on landing, making Fuerteventura a hugely popular airport.

The parking facilities at Fuerteventura airport are conveniently located onsite and the main car park is just opposite the terminal building. The car park is available for both short stay and long stay customers. The parking also caters to those wishing to do a speedy drop off or pick up of passengers. The first half an hour of parking is free of charge and there is also a specific drop-off and pick-up area outside the terminal entrance. In the car park there are over 1000 parking spaces which are divided up into short and long term stays. Rates vary depending on the length of stay, but the parking is reasonably priced.
Airport Distance from Fuerteventura Town and other Notable Surrounding Locations
The airport is very well located within the island of Fuerteventura and many places of interest and popular destinations are situated nearby. The airport lies approximately 6 kilometres south of the centre of the capital city of the island, Puerto del Rosaria. It is also close to the resort Caleta de Fuste, which is roughly 7 kilometres south of the airport. Also in very close proximity to the terminal is the Fuerteventura Golf Club, the Lllano del Sol and the Costa de Antigua.
Transport Links to Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura Airport is easily reached via a number of routes. By road, the airport can be accessed via the FV-1 highway from which the airport is clearly signposted. There are also public transport options and the number 3 and 10 bus run frequently to and from the airport to towns and resorts in the surrounding region. They operate from close to the terminal entrance. The number 3 runs to Puerto del Rosaria and Caleta de Fuste and the number 10 runs slightly less often to Costa Calma and Gran Tarajal. There are also usually plenty of taxis located outside the airport
Conference and other Business Facilities at Fuerteventura Airport
There are limited business and conference facilities in and around the airport. There is an executive lounge located past the security and check-in in the departures lounge where certain passengers can enjoy a tranquil atmosphere. There are no conference or meeting rooms in the airport itself but there are conference facilities in some of the hotels in the surrounding area which can be booked in advance.
