Flights from Birmingham to New York
Birmingham Airport to New York
Birmingham Airport is the UK’s sixth largest airport and is nearly seventy years old, expanding in recent decades to include a second ‘Eurohub’ terminal, which made history by mixing both domestic and international flights in a single terminal. Its size is matched by its custom - over nine million visitors took flights from the airport in 2007 - and in fact it won the title of ‘Best Airport in Europe’ in the same year.
Part of Birmingham Airport’s attraction is that it’s excellently located, with nearly thirty million people living only two miles away. It also offers fantastic transport links - both road and rail based, which reduces the risk of travel congestion all too familiar to passengers heading to the London airports in peak season! Furthermore, Birmingham Airport is also the second largest UK airport after London, and so offers an extremely wide range of flight desintations. Over forty airlines operate from Birmingham Airport, flying passengers all over the world, every day.

The centre boasts a number of lovely public squares, superior shopping centres catering to all tastes - and a massive range of clubs, pubs and restaurants - not to mention top quality musuems, galleries and theatres - and friendly people! It also hosts various visiting trade shows, continental markets and arts exhibitions, so it’s well worth checking the city’s calendar in advance. All in all, there’s definitely something for everyone in Birmingham, which makes it well worth a visit, both for business and enjoyment.
New York Airport
The famous John F. Kennedy International Airport was named for the famous US president and is located in Queens, in South East New York City. It’s operated by the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey, under a lease first agreed in 1947. It’s the main of New York’s three airports, and sees over forty million passengers walk through its nine terminals, and travel on flights offered by over eighty airlines every year. As you’d expect from such an airport, there’s a huge range of shopping, eating and relaxing facilities on offer - from comfortable and networked business lounges, to fast-food outlets and duty-free shopping.
Parking facilities
There are two main parking options at JFK. You can choose from either long-term parking (which is situated at Leffert’s Boulevard, around 4 miles away - with an AirTrain link service transporting you to your terminal.) Parking here costs approximately $15 for up to 24 hrs, and around $5 per 8-hr period after the initial 24 hrs.
Alternatively there’s short stay parking at coloured zones marked clearly for each terminal. Rates are available at the paypoints, or at information signs located around the carpark.
Transport
JFK is located only fifteen miles to the southeast of Manhattan, which makes for a relatively quick and speedy transfer to the excitement of the city!
There’s the wide range of transport facilities available that you’d expect, and public bus services, taxis, terminal shuttles and even limousines can be found both directly in front of, and adjacent to each of the flight terminals. There’s also a light railway system which conveniently connects up to New York’s subway system.
Additionally, travellers can find information counters located by the baggage claims at each terminal, with details of all onward travel options provided
Business Facilities & Conferencing
There are various IT, online networking, courier and business communications services available at each terminal, as well as conference facilities at Terminal 7, which are available exclusively to airline members. Additionally there are also airline lounges for quiet meetings or work, data ports and wireless access to the internet. Business meetings can also be held at the onsite Ramada Hotel, which offers a business centre and a range of meeting and conference facilities.
